Designed in Tokyo, in the quiet Japanese way of dressing — soft volume, nothing tight, nothing shouting. Made by hand in India from pure cotton, the print stamped block by block, one colour at a time.
Tiers through the skirt give the hem a little weight, so it swings rather than clings as you walk. Slim straps, an elasticated back, fully lined in cotton.
Easy on its own. Easy again over a white tee with flat sandals when you would rather cover your shoulders. One dress, most of the year.

What cambric cotton is
Cambric is plain-woven cotton, spun fine and packed close. It feels cool and lightly crisp on the first wear and softens with every wash, without ever going sheer. It is what makes a full-length cotton dress wearable in real heat.
About hand block printing
Each colour is pressed into the cloth with a hand-carved wooden block, one block per colour, one press at a time. Small shifts in where the colours meet are the mark of a human hand, not a fault — no two dresses carry the print in quite the same place.
